"Spit Out the Bone" by Metallica. I've long held out hope that Metallica would somehow return to their former glory from days long past, but each passing album has left me sorely dissappointed. I haven't really liked much of what they have done since the Black album, which is my second favorite (with "Master of Puppets" taking the first spot and "...And Justice for All" coming in third). I really wanted desperately to like the new album, and while I think it is a step in the right direction, it still falls way short in my humble opinion. I believe better production and a heavier guitar and drum sound would have done wonders (and it would also be nice to actually hear the bass). I do kind of like one song on the album though, "Spit Out the Bone" and especially the video:

Watched the video now several times...



Metallica have of course a special status for me. Still one of the best bands for me with unfortunately a lot of "mistakes" in the past...

To clear this first: the Black Album is the best... ever.

I kind of liked Death Magnetic again (we dont talk about what happened between them)....



About this song and video: hmmm, the song is reputable ;)

I like the riffing, reminds me on good old times.

Especially the change of speed after minute 5.... the stomping sound is awesome. We like that!



The video reminds me on a mix of Jacky Chan meets Jane Austens Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, War of the Worlds and Peter Gabriel!
